Questions

The details are in our terms, privacy policy and refund policy.

What counts as a connection?
Each Google account you connect is one connection. One connection can add any spreadsheet that account can open; HipSift only accesses the ones you choose with Google's file picker. The Free plan includes 2; Basic is unlimited. Disconnecting an account doesn't free up its slot, but you can always reconnect it.
Do Parquet files or open data count toward the connection limit?
No. Parquet uploads, URL sources and open-data datasets don't use a connection. There's no limit on how many sources, views or collections you have; they only count toward your storage.
What counts toward storage?
Your imported datasets (every Google Sheet, Parquet file, open-data dataset and merged source) and the snapshots behind your saved views. Thumbnails, your profile picture and account settings don't count. Free includes 1 GB and Basic 50 GB. You can see how much you're using on Account → Billing.
What happens when my storage is full?
Nothing is deleted and nothing stops working: your sources and views stay, and they keep refreshing. You just can't add new sources or views until you free up space by deleting some, or upgrade to Basic for 50 GB. Each Parquet file can be up to 2 GB, as long as it fits in your remaining storage.
What's the difference between manual and scheduled refresh?
Manual refresh pulls the latest data from Google Sheets or the open-data portal when you click Refresh, and it's free on every plan. Scheduled refresh (Basic) does it for you every hour, day or week, as often as every 1 hour. An open-data source is usually only re-imported when the portal's data has changed. Merged sources update when their inputs do. Parquet files are a snapshot: to update one, add the new file.
What happens if I cancel or downgrade?
If you downgrade to Free, you keep Basic until the end of the period you've paid for, and you can resume Basic before then. If you cancel now, Basic ends straight away; cancelling doesn't refund you automatically (see the refund policy). Either way nothing is deleted: your sources, views and collections stay, scheduled refreshes are turned off, and you can still refresh by hand. You just can't connect more Google accounts than the Free plan allows, or add new sources or views while you're over the Free plan's 1 GB of storage.
How does billing work?
Basic is billed monthly. Payments are handled by Paddle, our reseller and merchant of record, which also takes care of sales tax and VAT. You can update your card, downgrade or cancel at any time from Account → Billing.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If Basic isn't right for you, ask within 14 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full. Renewals aren't refundable except where the law requires it. A refund moves your account back to Free. See the refund policy for how to request one.
Can I use Hipsift with Claude or ChatGPT?
Yes, on every plan. Create an API key on the API Keys page and add Hipsift as an MCP server in Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT or any other MCP client. Your assistant can then list your sources and run queries on your behalf.
